Problem

The business ran on paper. Staff wrote production and inventory by hand, a manager re-keyed it into spreadsheets, and there was no real system and no single source of truth.

Build

A greenfield, end-to-end inventory + production + manufacturing system (Next.js + Postgres), their first digital system. Includes a hybrid raw-material consumption model that auto-deducts standardizable items and takes manual entry for variable ones (honey, oil), plus AI forecasting and replenishment.

Outcome

Paper replaced with a live system, clean go-live and handover. Hard metrics pending as it beds in.

CoWorq

Problem

The agency paid Clockify per-seat, per-month for every VA, and the generic tracker still didn't fit how they actually staff and bill.

Build

A custom time tracker (hours, OT, leaves) with two-step OT/leave approval, decimal-hour exports for reconciliation, and client-specific holiday calendars, with raw hours exporting to QuickBooks for payroll.

Outcome

Removes the recurring per-seat SaaS cost and fits their exact workflow. Pilot running since Jun 2026; metrics pending.

Miguel Murillo

Miguel is an industrial engineer with 8+ years in Tech & Operations at Grab and Shopee (two of Southeast Asia's largest tech companies), where he scaled operations, built data and automation systems, and learned what enterprise-grade infrastructure actually looks like under load.

He started Emergent Ops to bring that same playbook to growing businesses that don't have an enterprise budget: auditing how they run, mapping the process, then improving and automating it. No bloated software, no off-the-shelf templates, just custom systems that fit how the business actually works.
